Canon has now brought two new professional cameras to India. The first one is the EOS R1 camera and the other is the second version of the already popular EOS R5. Photography professionals have been waiting for a long time now and the wait is now over. Meanwhile, the flagship EOS R1 comes with a 24.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor. It is now also one of the most expensive cameras launched by Canon. On the other hand, the EOS R5 Mark II comes with a 45-megapixel full-frame sensor.
Canon EOS R1 And EOS R5 Mark II Prices In India
EOS R1’s cost in India is Rs. 6,30,995, and the LP-E6P battery will cost Rs. 7,995. The battery grip costs Rs. 34,995, but the cooling fan battery grip will cost Rs. 40,995. Apart from this, the battery grip with LAN is for Rs. 80,995. This camera and the accessories will be available in India by November end. Meanwhile, the price of EOS R5 starts from Rs 405,995 in India. The EOS R5 Mark II is an advanced version of the R5 which came in a few years ago.
EOS R1 Features
With EOS R1, Canon is mainly aimed at wildlife photographers and sports photographers, or anyone shooting adventurous activities. To give the speed and the necessary features, this comes with a 24.2-megapixel back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor. It also has a new Accelerated Capture System, which includes an all-new DIGIC Accelerator and the DIGIC X image processor. Therefore, it can process huge amounts of data at a good speed. Additionally, it has a 0.64-inch OLED viewfinder with a 119.88fps refresh rate.
The camera can also hit 12fps with a mechanical and electronic first curtain shutter. The shooting speed with an electronic shutter will be 40fps. Moving ahead, for videos, the Canon EOS R1 will be able to shoot 6K/60p footage in RAW format. It can also shoot 4K resolution video at 120p. Moreover, it will also offer up to six hours of movie recording time on a single charge. R1 will support two memory cards with up to 2TB capacity and has two CFexpress Type B slots. There are several connectivity options as well. The Dual Pixel Intelligent AF system will also be available on EOS R1.
EOS R5 Mark II Features
The EOS R5 Mark II is still coming with a 45-megapixel sensor but it will be using stacked technology. Canon says that additionally it includes enhancements such as Eye Control AF and Cinema EOS features. Therefore, it will be a true all-rounder camera for both photo and movie professionals. It also has a 0.5-inch OLED viewfinder and a fps refresh rate of 59.94/119.88.
Additionally, with an electronic shutter, it comes with 30fps shooting speeds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/32,000 second. It also uses the cooling fan accessory which will be good for long recording times. Moreover, the R5 Mark II comes with a new LP-E6P battery and can be charged with the LC-E6 charger. The connectivity options are similar to EOS R1.
